PSG had a good spell 25mins into the first half and actually had Bayern pegged back. Didn't take there chances and 2nd half Bayern's high line killed them.

The Bavarians basically out worked PSG last night. Their combination of talent and commitment was exemplary. Muller was one of the prime example for them.

Helped that after 70mins Bayern could replace Coman & Gnabry with Perisic & Coutinho and keep the pressure on.
PSG too dependent on Neymar & MBappe and didn’t have another gear or other options

Yeah Bayern did well, but for the last 20-25 mins when PSG needed Neymar or Mbappe to step up and produce both absolutely melted and looked beat.
Neymar especially, last quarter of the game he didnt look like he wanted to win, not like Messi or Ronaldo....thats the difference

I enjoyed the game last night but in terms of spectacle it did not match up to the games in this covid era enforced one match knock out phase.

But, unfortunately, it made for a bit of a lack lustre final. Bayern kept fouling Neymar with little niggle fouls and the just squeezed Mbappe and Di Maria out the game.
Thiago for Bayern was outstanding in doing all the donkey work. Also very gifted on the ball.

They were shit for a reason. Bayern set up perfectly and was tight on Neymar (often 2 men) and never allowed Mbappe any space to run into.
It can be achieved if you have players with lots and lots of stamina but also with a decent level of IQ.

When you see the Bayern squad I wonder what the hell the previous manager must have been doing.
They add Leroy Sane to that team for the new season too.
They crowded out Neymar and his ego meant he tries to beat 4 men instead of laying it off to someone else & then getting into free space to receive it again.
Also took away MBappe’s space to run into and he didn’t have a Plan B
Who knows what would have happened if he’d taken that chance when free in the box from about 8 yds. Had to bury that

Bayern very good outfit, what that manager has done their this season is seriously impressive
Muller is very underated and Thiago is so good to watch. So silky, Liverpool will do well to get him

Bayern didn’t give PSG a chance to breathe , closing them down & never letting them settle.
Easier to do when you have a couple of players you need to double up on & the others can’t hurt you
DiMaria is a talented player & the sort that better players need around them.
He got injured in the 2014 World Cup quarter final and Argentina didn’t score again in the tournament. Think they would won it if he’d stayed fit.
